The day began with a delicious breakfast to fortify us for the busy day
ahead.
Today's itinerary included the Majoreue Gardens, La Kotoubia Mosque, the
Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Marrakech Medina and the Ben Youssef
Medensa.
Ended the day experiencing the frenetic activity of the Djemba Fna, the
city's main square with its' labyrinth of medina streets filled with
hundreds (that is not an exaggeration) of souks for leather, metal works,
carpets, pottery and food products . They have a fascinating array of items
for sale here - I even saw a table with false teeth for sale. The carnival
atmosphere includes dancers, musicians and even snake charmers.
I think I wore the rubber off my shoes today, maybe I will have to come back
and do some shopping.
