Today we arrived back in Southampton to let most of the passengers start their journey home or to their next destination. Fifty-one of us are staying on board for the next cruise. Since the ship was busy preparing for a new group of cruisers I took a tour offered to Beaulieu and the National Motor Museum. Beaulieu is a small village located on the southeastern edge of the New National Park in Hampshire. So many great vintage cars and a lovely park area to stroll around.
Returned to the ship and discovered we were not leaving Southampton on Tuesday as planned. Due to adverse weather our sailing was being delayed until 2PM the following day, it was then delayed until 4PM - what can you do. The delay meant we were going to have to skip our first port call to Liverpool and we have an extra sea day.
We finally got out of the harbour and have been rocking and rolling ever since. Tonight is supposed to be a formal night, don't think many women will have high heels on. The captain said the seas should get calmer as we approach to Irish coast;
If all goes as planned we should arrive to Belfast tomorrow.
