trek, so after my pool time I decided to suck it up and get out for my
exercise this afternoon. It was not as bad as I had expected, with
occasional breezes coming in from the sea.
Most businesses were closed for the day, so things seemed a lot quieter -
that is until one got further away from the town center. Then it became
obvious that everyone was celebrating their day off in a big way with
picnics, bon fires, games and quite often loud music.
These are photos of some carvings that are along the road. I could not tell
if it was a public or private exhibit, but they caught my eye. Some were
traditional tikis and others were just whimsical.
