This afternoon I got my first glimpse of the Northern coast of Africa as we
approached the Strait of Gibraltar.
Then, lo and behold, The Rock of Gibraltar!
Originally I was not supposed to be in Gibraltar until after dark, so since
I will be back here in April in daylight (and warmer weather), I did not
book any tours this time around. However, there was a medical emergency
onboard while at sea, so the captain revved up the engines, and the ship
made port two hours early.
It was a lovely sail-in. Good for most of us, but not for the unfortunate
passenger that the ambulance was waiting for.
An early wish for a very Happy Birthday to my oldest son - J III.
