July Road Trip - 7-26-14

Today's adventure was to Cedar Breaks National Monument, another huge
natural amphitheater with rock walls, fins, spires and columns, made all the
more interesting as the colors and shadows changed as the storms approached.

As luck would have it, the skies did not open until reaching the car - but,
oh my, I swear I saw a lightning strike only a few feet away!

Decided to call it a day early and catch up on some laundry and sleep.

July Road Trip - 7-25-14

Headed out early to Bryce Canyon National Park. Wanted a chance to see the
Bryce Amphitheater from the Sunrise, Sunset and Bryce Points.

The views from the rim in the morning, since much of the canyon faces east,
are stunning.

Took the 18 mile scenic drive following the park's rim and hiked among many
of the formations and "works of art".

Legend has it that Butch Cassidy roamed here - kept a look out, but never
saw his ghost or Robert Redford!
