March 3rd - Tunnel Vision

You are probably wondering about the significance of the picture of the
stairs. I walk this way at least once a day, sometimes twice, and this is
the first time I have seen them. They are not small, about four feet high
and wide. I have been accused of having tunnel vision, but this is
ridiculous, they are no more than five or six feet from the road on the
beach side, so I am always looking in that direction. My story, and I am
sticking to it, is that there must have been a vehicle parked in front of
them all this time, hence, they were hidden from my view until now.

I stopped at a flea market that I passed on my walk this morning. I guess
because of the heat, people get up and going pretty early. One of my cousins
asked me the other day if I had found any good shells and I told her no,
that they must be pretty rare around here for what the shops charged for
them ($5 to $10 each for small ones). At one of the tables a lady was
selling shells for about $3.50 for ten small ones (yes, she sold sea shells
down by the sea shore..). So, GA I bought some for you and will bring down
to Florida, so you can have Polynesian sea shells to add to your Florida
collection.

Another good timing moment. I was walking by the post office on my way home
and it looked like it was open. Not only was it open, but there was hardly
anyone there. During the week you have to wait one to two hours to have your
number called. I was kind of surprised that it was open on a Saturday, and
even more surprised that there was no crowd. So in I walked and pulled
number 63 as they were helping number 59, and in no time flat I had some
more stamps.
