Costa mega-ship docked next to us!
Mallorca (Majorca) is the largest of the Balearic Islands and is supposed to
be a hideaway for the rich and famous. Based on the number of boats and
yachts in this harbor, I can believe it.
Took the shuttle into town and visited Palma's Gothic cathedral, begun in
1230, with much of the interior being remodeled by Antonio Gaudi. The way
the light filters through the stained glass and bounces on the pillars is
magical.
Spent the rest of the day wandering through Old Town and being awed by the
amazing churches and palaces.
