The day started out with unseasonably warm weather (even for San Diego), it
was in the 80s, just beautiful.
Got on board the ship about noon. Cabins were not yet ready, so had lunch on
deck and watched the boats. I love the sail boats - someday I would like to
get certified. The airport is just across the bay, so it is a great place
to watch the planes come in for landing. When we were kids, my cousins and I
used to go out to the old Kansas City airport to this great spot and wait
for the planes to come in overhead. It was really great in a convertible.
While waiting unsuccessfully to get a good picture of a plane as it was
coming in for landing I saw a sea lion. Pretty cool.
While waiting for the ship to sail out we saw a great sunset and some great
skies.
We are now out open waters and have been told to expect heavy swells through
the next two days. I happen to like the rocking, especially when sleeping,
must take me back to my time as a baby in a cradle.
Not sure what tomorrow will bring, temperatures are supposed to be in the
mid-60s. As long as the sun is bright enough and I can find a spot not too
windy it should not deter my worshiping of the sun!
