than eight miles before getting back to the ship.
Walked into the city along the shore side to the South Harbor where I
boarded the MS Doris, a local tour boat. Enjoyed a wonderful cruise through
the eastern archipelago, passing by the Suomenlinna fortress.
After the cruise I headed to the downtown shopping district to get some
gifts for some of the wonderful crew who somehow manage to anticipate any
and all needs of the passengers.
Walking back to the ship, two elderly ladies stopped me to see if they could
assist with directions - they were more confused than I was - I do not think
they could read a map - no worries, made it back to the ship with time to
spare.
