We had lunch at Casa Bianca dockside on the Marina Taina in Punaauia,
Tahiti. The meal was delicious and our main dish was prepared at our table
"as you wish". Our waitress was a delightful young lady.
After lunch we walked around a bit so Robert could do some fantasy shopping
and pick out his boat. I wonder if they have a lottery here. There were some
pretty amazing yachts from places like New Zealand, England, Gibraltar and
New Caledonia, and those were just a few of the ones I spotted.
Before heading back to the dock to board the ferry we stopped at an outdoor
market along the seaside, just south of the main port in Papeete. It was like
one of our annual "Home and Garden" shows. All of the businesses had set up
booths selling all manner of home improvement and building products. They
even had appliances, furniture and decorative items.
On the ferry ride back to Moorea we spotted a doomed sailboat stuck on a
reef that no one remembered being there in the morning crossing. It looked
like someone had made a very expensive mistake.
A great day spent with wonderful friends.
