Boarded the ms Veendam in Boston Harbor.
Today was supposed to be sunny with a high of 75, it never got that warm,
and it was late afternoon before the sun peeked out.
Arrived at the Boston Harbor and was told that embarkation would be delayed
until 2:30 to allow for special cleaning procedures on the ship in response
to an increased incidence of GIS on the prior sailing. Next, no one could
check-in, since all of the check-in computers were down.
I managed to bring only two bags and my carry on a( new first for me); of
course, I pity the poor soul who has to lift them. Since I was leaving from
Boston and arrived two weeks early I did not have to worry about any weight
limits this morning.
However, the trip is off to a wonderful start - having been upgraded to a
veranda suite - yeah!
Also leaving port today was the Crystal "Symphony".
Tomorrow is the first port, Bar Harbor, Maine.
