After leaving Mossman Gorge Park I went to the Wildlife Habitat Park. Here I
got to see crocodiles, flying foxes that looked like large bats, kangaroos,
wallabies, emu, quoll, the cuddly koala bears and unique and large
cassowarie birds. There were so many colorful birds and it was great to walk
so close to these animals and colorful birds. I could easily have spent
another couple of hours here.
Went back to town and walked around and did some shopping before taking the
last tender back out to the ship. The last time I visited Port Douglas was
in 2001, and it has changed quite a bit since then, but still a lovely place
to visit.
