March 10th - Winning Players

I woke up to rain this morning and was worried about the big game today.
But, no worries, the skies cleared and the soccer began!

My neighbor is coach for a soccer team, his daughter Charlotte and son Axel
both play on the team. Charlotte is number 11 and plays defense
(successfully I might add), and Axel is number 10 and is always in the midst
of the action (he got a goal). Sometimes Axel runs so fast and kicks so hard
that it appears he is doing a backward aerial flip as he goes end over end!

I got to relive the days of watching my boys play sports. With two boys who
were involved in numerous sports, I often felt like I lived on a bleacher
and would be so glad when one season ended, even though it meant another
would begin.

There was even a birthday party for one of the players following the game.
The kids had a great time.

The team won today, and I am sure it is due to the great efforts made by all
the children and their super coach Robert. Yeah Team!!!

I could not resist including the last photo of the two toddlers walking down
the field. It looked like something that should be on a Hallmark greeting
card.
