It is hard to believe how many parks that were visited in such a short time.
I am overwhelmed by the beauty of Utah and its' magnificent landscapes.
The drive back home was long since there were so many "oh my" camera stops
along the way.
As the drive began, it was thrilling to watch the morning sun sparkle and
dance across the hills as it made its' way across the sky.
Time to get ready for the next adventure!

July Road Trip - 7-28-14
Today's stop was to the Kolob Canyons arm of Zion National Park.
This park reminded me of The Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, with
the close cliff walls and red Navajo sandstone (even the roads are paved
with red rock asphalt). Such a beautiful park and setting, and another
hidden gem. I would venture to guess that we did not see more than a dozen
or so cars in this park, a real difference from the crowds at Zion the
previous day.
Since most of the views are seen from the west, the evening sun and sunsets
must be magnificent - next time!
