The stop in Santa Margherita was cancelled due to the rough seas and we were
going to have to tender to port, so my tours to San Fruttuoso, Camogli and
Portofino were also cancelled.
New stop was Genoa. This is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus and
Italy's chief seaport.
Since I had no plans I took the hop on hop off bus around the city. After a
full circle around the city the weather started to clear and warm up a bit,
so I stopped to walk around, do some exploring and have lunch on Piazza San
Matteo.
After months of 80-90 degree weather, the 50s are a shock to the system.
Keeping my fingers crossed for warmer weather for tomorrow.
