I have unpacked five bags.
All my clothes have been washed or dry cleaned, pressed and put away (I need
to be ready for my next trip).
I have been to the tailor to get some things I bought altered.
I have had two doctor's visits.
I have been to the grocery store and run other errands.
I have gone through three months of mail.
I have gathered all the information and papers that I need to send to my CPA
so he can prepare my tax return.
I got my massage the first day back - Nadya is the best, it was better than
any on the ship or in Moorea.
I have all my packages of gifts ready to take to the post office on Monday.
I sorted through all the pictures of my new French family that I did not use
in the blog, so I could send the photos to them.
I had to go to Radio Shack, the battery for my alarm system beeped telling
me it needed to be replaced. It would have been nice if it had waited a
little while longer (it was ten years old), I really did not need another
chore this week.
The plumber spent an afternoon here doing a repair (it decided to leak on a
day when my housekeeper was here, so it got shut off and there was no
damage).
I have gone out to lunch four times. Getting together and visiting with
family and friends was the high-light of the week.
The weather is supposed to be in the 70s this coming week. I have one of
those machines to help you sleep that has the sounds of waves. Maybe I can
sit out on the deck in the sun with my eyes closed and the wave machine on
and pretend I am back in the South Pacific.
I am really missing the sun, the water, the beautiful sunsets, and the
friendly people; but most of all, I miss the "island" life.
I thought it would be nice to include a few photos to take me back, if only
in my dreams.
